I would not ever recommend using a Hyd. lifter on a solid roller cam. As far
as the solid roller lifter being "fragile" I am not sure why you believe
this? Solid Roller setups are more aggressive and harder on parts, yes. This
can lead to somewhat shorter life spans though it is highly dependant on
setup. They are not fragile and with proper maintenance can last a very good
amount of time. The cam you have is designed for street use and our Roller
lifters are designed with an EDM oil hole to keep constant pressure feed oil
straight to the roller bearings. We have many customers running this setup
on the street with very good results. If you are still concerned though we
would be happy to select a Hyd. Roller cam and lifter setup for you.

Hello,
If you plan to run a hydraulic roller retro fit lifter. You can use
a part number 15854-16s short travel lifters that will act kind of like a
solid roller lifter will and you only add around .004 of preload to the
lifter.

Statistics: Posted by zorba427 — 10 Dec 2009 11:38
